#100dayproject day 27 #optoutside #pnwchild #newport #dfpcommunity

These two love exploring. We had a brief outing to the beach after exploring a little in Newport, Oregon. I had forgotten how beautiful it is with that amazing bridge. The beach was amazing with a low tide and reflective sand stretching out towards the waves.

The boys were looking for little crabbies and digging in the sand. The air was fresh and a little crisp, but mild compared to the winter storm we drove through yesterday. We made the call to go coastal rather than through Grant's Pass which was a good choice in the end since the storm shut down I-5 bear the Oregon-California border. At one point I pulled a tree branch out of the road so we could pass. And today it was like it never happened.

This photo was not an accident. I waited patiently as the boys explored the rocks. I anticipated the turn, Andy turned around briefly to check on Eli. My settings were pre-selected. It was the last light of the day and the colors were really blue. This is how it felt to be there. This is my lens. A winter sunset at the Oregon, Coast.
