#100dayproject day 41 #pnwfamilies
We've been waiting for the day we can strap skis to their feet. Craw. Walk. Ski. It was a shirt Auntie Kelly gave Andy as an infant. Maybe it became a mantra. We tried a couple seasons ago and maybe it was too soon. Andy was a pretty good sport about it. It was in good fun, he rode the magic carpet and the bunny hill chair lift. And he was still pretty little. He did well but told us "it was a little scary for me."
Now, we think he's ready. This year is the year. The skis are ready. The gloves have been located, and new boots were purchased because he already outgrew these ones. I know that in no time he'll surpass me on the ski hill. I learned to ski as an adult and have always been a bit afraid of heights, so that first turn on a steep run for me is always all mental. Probably next year he'll be speeding by me. Maybe the one after that. Now all we need is snow. I can't wait to share the joy of this sport with all three of our babes. Love it, please, love it.
Dear #stevenspass please open. We are ready. Pizza. French fries. Pizza. French Fries.
