The Mountain is Out: my 100th blog post

Don't let anyone in on the secret. Sometimes the sun does shine here in Seattle. And when it does, it is glorious. It awakens the city with a vibrant spirit and the city radiates with energy. People get outside. It doesn't matter that its cold. It doesn't matter that there is frost. Only that the wait is over, momentarily, for the day we will see the sun. And, even more infrequently, when we will see the mountain. When Mt. Rainier appears, we say "The Mountain is Out." And she sings a glacial song across her foothills, to the Puget Sound, and to the shores of the city.

Hello, Mountain. We missed you.

Do you have such a thing where you're from?

Seattle from the Magnolia Bridge #savethemagnoliabridge.

This is my 100th blog post, though just day 90 of my 100 day project. It was great to be greeted by such beauty and to reach this milestone.

Thank you for joining me.
