#100DAYPROJECT DAY 95
It's funny to see what little kids get excited about. This weekend, for Andy, it was his goggles and a new pair of flip flops. With the first sign of sunshine and some blue sky we jumped in the car and decided to drive on the ferry again.
A quick search shows the way to this waterfront park in Silverton, Washington.
It was cold and windy, but as far as I'm concerned everyday is a great day to go the beach.
We threw some rocks, flew a kite, and Andy wore his goggles. Everywhere. On the ferry. In the car. To lunch. To a park. And perhaps most appropriately, to this beach.
Later we stopped by Sierra Trading Post and I found some kids flip flops. I showed them to Eli. He is notoriously picky about his shoes and difficult to fit with his wide little feet. "Do you like these?" (The were little flip flips that look like surf boards, it looks like sharks are eating the surf boards). One look "No."
I put them in the cart anyway and showed them to Andy. "Do you like these?"
"Ohhhh, I have always wanted flip floppers!" he gushed. He loved them. He wore them out of the store. Of course, it was pretty chilly out. He wore them on the ferry. With his goggles. He was (and still is) so excited about this flip floppers. He wore them to the playground on Monday, and had to learn the hard way that they aren't the most appropriate footwear for this climate. He's learning early, I guess. I had to learn that in a snow storm my freshman year of college.
